Forskningsprogram i autismespektrum-forstyrrelser

Forskningen vedrører autisme hos både børn, unge og voksne. Særligt fokus på ætiologi, epidemiologi, forløb samt outcome. 

Programbeskrivelse

Forskningsprogrammet inkluderer forskning inden for autismeområdet i såvel børne- og ungebefolkningen som hos voksne. Det drejer sig især om forskning inden for ætiologi, epidemiologi, forløb samt outcome. Der er både tale om registerbaserede studier, spørgeskemaundersøgelser og kliniske studier.

 

Ligeledes laves de sidste analyser i et genetisk studie af genetiske abnormiteter (påvist ved aCGH) i en klinisk population henvist på mistanke om autismespektrumforstyrrelse (engelsk: ASD). Populationen er indsamlet på Børne- og Ungdomspsykiatrisk Regionscenter Risskov.

Vejledning kan foregå på mange niveauer fra f.eks. medicin- og psykologistuderende over kandidatstuderende til ph.d.-studerende.

 

Der er på nuværende tidspunkt udarbejdet et ph.d.-projekt under programmet, nemlig ”Outcome for adolescents and young adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder in childhood” af psykolog, ph.d. Ane Knüppel.

Samarbejdspartnere

I et igangværende projekt samarbejdes der med en forskergruppe fra University of Kentucky, USA under ledelse af Professor Lisa Ruble om data på en nyudviklet skala: Parent Empowerment, Activation, and Advocacy Scale.
